David Eifion Evans (1911-1997) served as the Archdeacon of Cardigan from 1967 to 1979. He was educated at the University College of Wales and St. Michael's College, Llandaff, and was ordained in 1935. During World War II, he served as a Chaplain in the British Armed Forces. Evans held various incumbencies including Spittal, Llangadog, Penrhyncoch, and Aberystwyth before becoming an Archdeacon. His son, Wyn Evans, served as bishop of St Davids from 2008 to 2016.
