Eileen Elizabeth Dailly was an influential educator and politician in British Columbia, Canada. Born on February 15, 1926, Dailly was a member of the New Democratic Party, representing Burnaby North in the Legislative Assembly from 1966 to 1986. She served as deputy premier and Minister of Education, where she made significant contributions such as banning corporal punishment, introducing mandatory kindergarten, and establishing the first First Nations school board. After retiring from politics, she hosted a senior's program on community cable television until her passing on January 17, 2011.
