Eilif Mortansson, born Daniel Jacob Eilif Mortensen on January 14, 1916, was a Faroese author known for writing novels under the pseudonyms Gretha Stevns and Peter Pløk. His notable works include a series of girl's novels about characters Pernille and Susy. He wrote in Danish and published his first book, 'Færøske stemninger', in 1949. Mortansson studied law and lived in Denmark after moving from the Faroe Islands. He was married to Grethe Hansen-Stevns and worked for several years at the Royal Library.
