Einar Aaraas is a Norwegian journalist born in Oslo in 1943. After his father's early death, he moved with his mother to Skien and later Nøtterøy. He began his career in journalism at Tønsbergs Blad in 1963, later becoming a Storting journalist for Aftenposten and political editor at Drammens Tidende. Aaraas was awarded Høyres Pressebyrås prize in 1982 and served as chairman of Den Konservative Presses Forening. He also held significant roles in government press services during times of crisis and has been active in various press and Rotary organizations in his retirement.
