Eino Mäkinen (1908–1987) was a Finnish photographer, cinematographer, director, and screenwriter known for his diverse career in photography and film. Despite becoming visually impaired at a young age, he began freelance work in photography and journalism in 1926. He served as a cinematographer for documentary films and collaborated closely with notable figures such as Kustaa Vilkkuna and Erik Blomberg. Mäkinen was also involved in promoting Finnish culture and science, leading to the establishment of the Finnish Cultural Foundation. He received the prestigious life achievement Jussi Award in 1981.
