Eisei Itō (December 1, 1941 - January 19, 2021) was a Japanese politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives for six terms. He held various positions including Construction Administrative Vice Minister and Chairman of the House of Representatives Security Committee. He was a key figure in the Democratic Party and served as Foreign Minister in the 'Next Cabinet'. Itō was originally from Aichi Prefecture and had a background in labor relations with Toyota. After retiring from politics, he worked as a full-time auditor at Toyota.
