El Negro García López, born Carlos Alberto García López, was an influential Argentine guitarist and musician known for his work in rock and roll. He played with notable bands including La Torre, which gained popularity in the early 1980s, and was part of Charly García's ensemble, Los Enfermeros. In 1992, he founded his own group, the García López Band. His contributions to Argentine rock were recognized when Rolling Stone named him the 12th most influential guitarist in the genre in 2012. Tragically, he passed away in 2014 due to a car accident.
