Eldar Mikayilzade is an Azerbaijani carpet designer and painter, recognized for his significant contributions to the art sector. Born on January 18, 1956, in Amirjan, he holds the title of People's Artist of Azerbaijan, awarded in 2018. A member of the USSR Union of Artists since 1986 and the Russian Union of Artists since 2004, Mikayilzade is also affiliated with the Artists' Union under UNESCO. He is known for being the author of the first sketches of the Azerbaijani manat.
