Eldar Zeynalov is an Azerbaijani chemist born on October 8, 1948, in Baku. He is a Doctor of Chemical Sciences and a professor, recognized for his expertise in chemical kinetics, catalysis, high molecular compounds, and petroleum chemistry. Zeynalov is a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) since 2017 and heads the laboratory on oxidation with hydrogen peroxide using nano-carbon catalysts. He also leads an international lab focusing on synthesizing and applying catalysts based on nano-carbon materials from petroleum derivatives. He has been a member of the American Chemical Society since 2009.
