Elena Fischli Dreher was an Italian partisan born on June 28, 1913, in Milan. She played a significant role in the Italian Resistance during World War II as a member of Giustizia e Libertà and the Women's Defense Groups. Notably, she escorted Ferruccio Parri through the Alps and sheltered him in Milan in April 1945. After the war, she became the first woman in Italy to hold a public office, serving as an assessor in Milan. She moved to Switzerland in 1949 and passed away in 2005.
