The daughter of Egil Storbekken, she has an extensive career in vocal folk music and has represented Norway at numerous festivals. Storbekken has collaborated with various musicians and was part of the group Det Syng in the 1990s. She co-founded the Nordic ensemble Kvedar and has been involved in educational music initiatives, serving as a musical leader and workshop presenter.
