Eliseo Reyes Rodríguez, also known as 'Capitán San Luis', was a Cuban socialist politician and guerrilla. Born on April 27, 1940, in Santiago de Cuba, he joined the revolutionary militia at age 13. He became a rebel messenger, later rising through ranks due to his military contributions during the Batista dictatorship. Following the Cuban Revolution, he led efforts against internal counter-revolutionary forces. Chosen by Che Guevara for guerrilla reinforcement in Bolivia, he died in combat on April 25, 1967, just before his 27th birthday, recognized as a key figure in the revolution.
