Elkin Reilly was an Australian rules footballer who played for the South Melbourne Football Club in the VFL. Born on 2 April 1938, he was one of the first Indigenous Australian players in the league. An Alyawarra man from Alpurrurulam, he was adopted from Alice Springs hospital. Known for his skills as a ruckman, he achieved success in country leagues and won consecutive Mail Medals. Reilly played 51 games for South Melbourne before a ruptured appendix ended his VFL career in 1966, after which he transitioned to coaching.
