Following the war, she aided Allied forces in tracking down war criminals. Despite being sentenced to 16 years in prison in 1949 for her actions, she was pardoned in 1952. After serving her sentence, she reinvented herself, adopting the name Annemarie Lenssinger and pursuing a new career as a healer, successfully concealing her Nazi past.
