Ellen Jilemnická is a Czech sculptor, poet, and illustrator born on February 6, 1946, in Hradec Králové. She is a professor of sculpture at the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague. From 1992 to 1996, she served as head of the sculpture department at the Secondary Industrial School of Stone Masonry and Sculpture in Hořice. Her works include monumental stone sculptures and smaller sculptures, as well as drawing and poetry.
