Ellert Borgar Þorvaldsson (born May 12, 1945) is an Icelandic entrepreneur, teacher, politician, musician, and former principal of Ártúnsskóli. He graduated from the Iceland University of Education and served as a teacher before becoming the first principal of Ártúnsskóli in 1987, where he worked for 19 years. Under his leadership, the school received the Icelandic Educational Award in 2006, and he was recognized for his management. Ellert has played in bands including Pónik and Randver and has served on various committees.
