Eleanor 'Ellie' Mary Simmonds, OBE, is an English Paralympic swimmer born on November 11, 1994, in Walsall, Great Britain. She has achieved multiple gold medals at the Paralympic Games and other international championships. Simmonds came into the world with achondroplasia, a genetic form of dwarfishness. She gained international recognition during the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, where she won two gold medals at the age of 13 as the youngest member of her team. In 2012, she repeated her success in London and was honored with an OBE in 2013.
