Elling M. Solheim (1905–1971) was a Norwegian poet, playwright, and short story writer born in Norderhov. His debut literary work, 'Preludium', was written in 1925 but never published due to the bankruptcy of its publishing house. He published his first poetry collection, 'Jeg lever idag', in 1934. Despite suffering from multiple sclerosis from the late 1930s, he continued to write. He passed away in Ringerike, and a bronze bust of him by Ståle Kyllingstad is displayed at the Ringerike public library.
