Elmar Leopold Brandmann (1912–1991) was an Estonian confectioner and hobby pilot. After graduating from Tallinna Reaalkool in 1932, he studied business management in London. He took over his father's confectionery company in 1936 and soon managed Meleski Glass Factory as well. His factories were nationalized during the Soviet occupation starting in 1940. Brandmann received his pilot license in 1936 and was conscripted into the Red Army in 1941, where he was wounded in combat in 1944. He later researched the history of Estonian aviation.
