Elmer Edward Solly was a man convicted of manslaughter for killing two-year-old Christopher Welsh in 1970. In 1974, he escaped police custody and evaded capture for 27 years. He assumed various identities during his time on the run and was arrested in May 2001 while living in Florida under the alias Daniel 'Danny C' Catalano. He falsely claimed to have been associated with the American rock group Sha Na Na, although he had no such connections.
