Elmer Hector Violette (1921-2000) was an American jurist and Democratic politician from Maine. He served as a justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and was a member of both the Maine Senate and House of Representatives. Violette was known for his advocacy for the French American community and played a role in establishing the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. Following his political career, he became a judge on the Maine Superior Court, later elevated to the Supreme Court. He died tragically in a car accident.
