Elmer Wexler (1918-2007) was a notable American illustrator and cartoonist, renowned for his contributions to comic strips and comic books during the 1940s. He created the DC comic hero Miss America in 1941 and is recognized as the first artist to produce a soap-opera style comic strip, 'Vic Jordan,' also in 1941. Wexler later worked in illustration across various media, including books and magazines, and contributed to record covers, particularly for Grand Award Records, primarily in the late 1950s.
