Els Calis-Meijer is a former Dutch speed skater born on April 12, 1959, in Zaanstreek. She became the Dutch champion in 1983 at the short track championships in Dronten. She won silver at the 1984 Dutch short track championships, finishing behind Alie Boorsma. In 1987, she again secured a second place in Nederhorst den Berg, this time behind Ingrid Haringa. In 1988, she achieved a bronze medal in Heerenveen, competing against champions Herma Meijer and Christine Aaftink.
