Else Færden, born in 1952 in Oslo, is a Norwegian author known for her children's and youth literature. She has worked as an editor, lecturer, teaching assistant, and information consultant. Færden has authored a number of educational and literary works, including two plays, mainly focusing on children and youth literature. She received the Brage Prize in 1993 for 'Garnnøstet som forsvant' and the Riksmålsforbund Prize for Children's and Youth Literature in 1998 for 'Vingefolket'. She resides in Hølen with her husband.
