Else Lidegaard, born February 23, 1933, is a Danish journalist and author. Originally considering a career in acting, she trained in French and Eskimology. Lidegaard worked in Danmarks Radio for many years, producing around 150 programs, mainly focused on cultural encounters. She has published travel books on Africa and Patagonia and is a recognized figure in Danish literature. She also initiated the movement 'Bedsteforældre For Asyl' and received the Gyngestolprisen for her impactful work.
