Emad Zaki Yehya was an Iraqi writer, journalist, and academic born on August 3, 1955, in Baghdad. His family originated from Mosul in northern Iraq. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Baghdad in 1977, followed by a Master's degree in Reservoir Engineering in 1987, and finally a PhD in Oil Reservoir Simulation in 1993, all from the same university. He passed away on August 3, 2016.
