Emil Walch was an Austrian alpine ski racer born on December 17, 1902, in Stuben, Vorarlberg. He achieved notable successes in the late 1920s and early 1930s, participating in major competitions like the Arlberg-Kandahar races. His best performances included finishes in the top ten in various events, particularly in 1929 and 1932. After retiring from skiing in 1933, he returned to his profession as a stove builder and also worked as a ski instructor and mountain guide, eventually opening his own hotel in Stuben. He passed away on November 14, 1967.
