Emilia Florencia Jacobs Baquero, also known as Florencia Müller, was a pioneering Mexican archaeologist and anthropologist born on February 28, 1903, in Mexico City. She became the first Mexican to graduate as an archaeologist in 1947 with a thesis on the Chimalacatlán site in Morelos. Her research opened new pathways that many archaeologists follow today. She adopted her husband Bruno's surname after his passing in 1931, reflecting her personal and professional dedication. Throughout her career, she significantly contributed to the field of anthropology and archaeology in Mexico.
