Engin Özkoç is a Turkish politician of Abkhaz descent, born on February 5, 1962, in Kayalarmemduhiye, Sakarya. He studied Business Administration at Anadolu University. Özkoç began his political career with the CHP Youth Branch and served as Deputy Mayor and Municipal Council Member in Sakarya. He was elected as an MP from Sakarya for the CHP in 2011. Known for his activities advocating for the recognition of the de facto Republic of Abkhazia in Turkey, he also held positions as Chief Advisor to the CHP Chairman and was elected Group Deputy Chairman of the CHP in 2017.
