Enrique Cipriani Thorne was a Peruvian physician, writer, researcher, and educator born on April 18, 1941, in Lima. He was involved in the 1961 student movement that led to the establishment of the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Médicas y Biológicas, now known as Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. In 1993, he founded the Clínica Médica Ambulatoria to serve the population in San Martín de Porres. Cipriani was recognized for his contributions to medicine and education, becoming a member of the National Academy of Medicine of Peru in 2006.
