Enrique Luis Roizner, known as El Zurdo, was an Argentine drummer born in Buenos Aires on December 14, 1939. He was a versatile session musician who played across various genres, including jazz, rock, bossa nova, and folklore. He collaborated with numerous prominent artists such as Vinícius de Moraes, Toquinho, El Gato Barbieri, and Astor Piazzolla. Roizner also accompanied Frank Sinatra during his visit to Argentina and was part of the well-regarded group La Banda Elástica. From 2002, he performed with The Nada, the band that supports Kevin Johansen. He passed away on January 14, 2024, due to a stroke.
