Pietro De Negri, commonly known as Er Canaro, is an Italian criminal born on September 28, 1956. He gained notoriety for committing the gruesome murder of former boxer Giancarlo Ricci in Rome. De Negri's actions are known as the 'Crime of the Canaro,' notable for their extreme brutality. While he claimed to have tortured Ricci excessively, later investigations revealed that much of this was imagined due to his cocaine use, and the actual killing was far less prolonged than he stated. De Negri's life was marked by addiction and violence.
