Ergün Arıkdal was a prominent Turkish metapsychic researcher, author, magnetizer, hypnotist, and medium, serving as the longest president of the Turkish Society for Metapsychical Research. He studied at Istanbul Erkek Lisesi, Istanbul University Faculty of Economics, and later in the Psychology Department. Besides metapsychics, he had interests in Sufism and Platonic philosophy. He was the founder of the Bilyay Foundation, and after his passing in 1997, his son Tarık Arıkdal took over his responsibilities.
