Eric Iheanacho 'Acho' Nwakanma is a Nigerian politician, businessman, and philanthropist born on April 26, 1958. He served as the deputy governor of Abia State twice, from 2006 to 2007 and from 2010 to 2011. His political journey began in 1999 when he was elected to the Abia State House of Assembly. Nwakanma aspired to be governor in 2015 but was defeated. He was also appointed as the Chairman of the Board of National Neuro Psychiatry Hospital by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2013.
