He is renowned for his outstanding achievements in endurance racing, having won several prestigious events such as the Vermont 100 Mile Endurance Run four times between 1989 and 1992. Additionally, he secured victories at the JFK 50 Mile in 1991, 1994, 1995, and 1997, the Old Dominion 100 Mile in 1992, the Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 Mile Run in 1998, and the Badwater Ultramarathon in 1999, and the San Diego 100 in 2004.
