Eric Khristoforovich Gukasov (1932 - 2020) was a prominent engineer and politician in Kazakhstan. He held various engineering and managerial roles in construction from 1954 to 1978, eventually serving as Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR and Chairman of the State Agro-Industrial Committee. Gukasov was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor and received multiple honors including the Lenin and October Revolution Orders. He was also recognized as an Honored Builder of the Kazakh SSR and served as a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
