Eric Alexander Pérez, known as Escobar, is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler born on December 18, 1979. He began his career in WWE with a developmental contract in 2005, competing in Deep South Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling, where he won multiple tag team titles and the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship. Promoted to WWE's main roster in 2009, he appeared as Eric Escobar on SmackDown until his release in January 2010. He then returned to Puerto Rico, where he continued to wrestle and claim heavyweight titles in local promotions.
