Erich Rasner was a German SS-Sturmbannführer born on March 7, 1905, in Korbach. From 1933, he worked for the Sicherheitsdienst (SD), and in 1941, he became the head of plant security at the Röchlingsche Eisen- und Stahlwerke, a precursor to the Völklinger Hütte. He later also served as the head of the associated Etzenhofen labor education camp. Rasner's role in the organization reflects his involvement in the Nazi regime's industrial and labor practices during World War II.
