Erich Otto Wenger (1912-1978) was a German Gestapo officer and employee of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution. He joined the NSDAP, SA, and SS in the early 1930s, and worked in various roles within the Nazi regime, including the Reich Security Main Office. After WWII, he was briefly imprisoned for involvement in executing British paratroopers. Later, he became a member of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution in West Germany, but faced scrutiny regarding his past actions during the Third Reich.
