Erik B. Smith, born June 28, 1939, in Frederiksberg, is a Danish Gestalt therapist, educator, and former politician. He studied law and became highly involved in education, serving as the principal of Den Sociale Højskole in Copenhagen from 1974 to 1994. Smith was also a member of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) representing the Social Democrats from 1979 to 1994. Additionally, he contributed to various legal and therapeutic institutions and was the chairman of the Psychotherapist Association from 2002. He earned a degree in philosophy in 2013.
