Erkin Vohidov is a prominent Uzbek poet born in 1936 in the Fergana Valley. He is known as one of the leading figures in modern Uzbek poetry. He graduated from Tashkent State University in 1960, specializing in philology. Vohidov has contributed to various periodicals throughout his career and served as a member of parliament from 1991. His poetic journey began during his school years, and he published his work 'Altyn Dovar' in 1970. He also translated Goethe's 'Faust' into Uzbek in 1974.
