Erkki Imberg was a Finnish cinematographer born on May 22, 1929, in Helsinki. He began his career at Suomi-Filmi in 1941 as a clap boy and later joined the camera crew. In 1946, he worked as an assistant to cameraman Eino Heinonen and first served as a B-camera operator in 1948. He became the main cinematographer in 1951. From 1954, Imberg filmed all movies directed by Hannu Leminen and joined Finnish Television in 1958, becoming chief cinematographer by 1962. He worked as an assistant from 1978 until 1986.
