Ernst Glerum, born on April 20, 1955, in Deventer, is a Dutch jazz double bassist. He studied at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam, where he played in the Asko Ensemble and collaborated with various jazz musicians. Glerum co-founded the Amsterdam String Trio in 1984 and has been part of several notable ensembles, participating in international tours and recordings. He has worked as a sideman with significant artists and founded the record label Favorite in 2004. Additionally, he teaches double bass at the Amsterdam Conservatory.
