Errikos Thalassinos was a Greek filmmaker, screenwriter, and poet born on May 8, 1927. He directed and wrote for 44 Greek films, contributing scripts to 17 of them. Thalassinos also created documentaries, television series, and festive programs for state television. His poetry gained popularity, with many of his poems set to music by renowned composers, resulting in numerous hits. He authored nine collections of poetry before his passing on July 30, 2000.
