Ersa Hines Poston (1921–2009) was a prominent American anti-poverty activist and civil service reformer. Notably, she was the first African American woman to be appointed to the Civil Service Commission. Following this, she became the vice chairman of the Merit Systems Protection Board. She was also known as Ersa Hines Clinton and was an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, contributing significantly to civil service reforms and advocacy for marginalized communities.
