Erwin Eisch was a prominent German glass artist and painter born on April 18, 1927, in Frauenau, Bavaria, and he passed away on January 25, 2022, in Zwiesel. He was considered one of the founders of the international studio glass movement alongside Harvey Littleton since the 1960s, and he was one of the first artists to utilize glass as a medium for artistic expression. In his later years, he shifted his artistic focus predominantly to painting.
