Erwin Friedrich Karl Rösener was a German leader in the SS during the Nazi era. He was born on February 2, 1902, and became notorious for his role in organizing mass executions of civilians in Slovenia during World War II. After the war, he was tried for war crimes, sentenced to death on August 30, 1946, and executed by hanging on September 4, 1946. Following his death, he was included in the indictment of the Nuremberg Trials for his involvement in war crimes.
