Esko Olavi Kähkönen (1927-2020) was a Finnish journalist and ski jumping figure. He graduated as a sports instructor and worked as a gymnastics teacher before becoming a sports assistant for Lapin Kansa newspaper and later joined Yleisradio's Rovaniemi division. Kähkönen was chairman and honorary member of Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura, where he coached ski jumpers, contributing to the club's success in the 1970s. He officiated at the 1972 Sapporo Olympics and provided commentary for major competitions on television and radio.
