Essi Luttinen is a Finnish mezzo-soprano born on September 28, 1978. She studied at Turku Conservatory and Sibelius Academy, earning a Master's degree in 2005. Additional training occurred at the Royal College of Music and the Benjamin Britten International Opera School. She has performed as a freelancer and received the Karita Mattila Award in 2005, as well as winning the Merikanto Singing Competition. Luttinen participated in the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu in 2015 and was a contestant on the third season of Tähdet, tähdet in 2016.
