Esta Veski, also known as Esta Keiss, was an Estonian botanist born on March 28, 1924, in Tartu and passed away on March 30, 2024, in Tallinn. After graduating from Tartu State University in 1949, she worked as a biology teacher. From 1951, she served as an assistant at the Estonian Agricultural Academy, and from 1957, she was associated with the Institute of Experimental Biology for a long period, eventually working at the Tallinn Botanical Garden. Her research focused on plant cultivation in hydroponics.
